Yes, it's true. When your members develop friendships with other members your site then becomes the portal for them to connect with one another and they come back.
As administrators of our membership sites we can often get stuck thinking about OUR relationship with our members--Do they like what I am providing? Do they connect with me and my message? What we miss is that it is even more important that your members interact with each other.
So how can you help create an environment where members
connect with each other and build relationships? By using things like polls, survey's, contests, comments and regularly responding to all active forum posts and blog comments. If your members can contribute to your site they will feel more part of it's success and add value to your membership site.
