Google has announced that they just completed their new web indexing system called appropriately enough, Caffeine.
Caffeine provides a huge increase in new search results--more than 50% faster than their current index. Google stated in a recent press release:
"Whether it's a news story, a blog or a forum post, you can now find links to relevant content much sooner after it is published than was possible ever before."
What this means for content providers of membership sites is that your information will be indexed faster and will be more timely than before. This is good news. We all want our content to be found as soon as we publish and more importantly today's web searcher wants to find the latest relevant content--whether it is video, audio, images or text content.
